- Promises of very fast review (accepted within days)
- Aggressive email solicitation
- Vague or broad "scope"
- Poor website quality, grammatical errors
- Fake or unverifiable editorial board members
- Not indexed in Scopus, WoS, or DOAJ
How to Verify a Journal
- Check if it appears in our database (SCImago/Scopus indexed)
- Look it up on DOAJ (doaj.org)
- Check Think. Check. Submit. (thinkchecksubmit.org — free)
