Human Behavior and Emerging Technologies is an interdisciplinary journal publishing high-impact research that advances the understanding of complex interactions between diverse human behavior and emerging digital technologies. Specifically, it aims to (1) bring interdisciplinary perspectives relevant to behavioral sciences, such as psychology, public health, communication, education, sociology, anthropology, political science, law, economics, and business; (2) disseminate quantitative and qualitative studies for improving understanding, methodology, policy, and daily-life; (3) focuses on various aspects of human behavior, such as biological, physical, cognitive, social, emotion, and moral dimensions, in using emerging technologies, and (4) examine various emerging technologies, such as the internet, social media, mobile phones, wearable devices, the Internet of things, smart city, augmented reality, and artificial general intelligence. Submission of empirical, theoretical, and methodological research on a wide variety of topics on various use and impacts of emerging technologies is welcome. Human Behavior and Emerging Technologies is particularly interested in (1) literature review (e.g., a systematic review on digital multitasking), (2) methodology research (e.g., a validation study on an Internet addiction questionnaire), (3) case studies (e.g., a case study of FBI vs. Apple on iPhone backdoor access), and (4) Registered Reports (e.g., an empirical article that presents research questions and methods before results are known, see the details here). It also welcomes special issue proposals from potential guest editors on timely and important topics.
