Specifically, the journal explores the dynamic between society, development, and the environment, and their implications for sustainable development. It delves into the economic, social, and institutional aspects of sustainability, as well as the practical implementation of sustainable practices at local, regional, and global levels. Furthermore, JED encourages research investigating the development and application of sustainability indicators, the monitoring of policies for sustainable development, and the sustainable utilisation of finance, energy, and natural resources in development endeavours.
