Policy Design and Practice

Policy Design and Practice (PDP) is an open access peer reviewed journal and a key source of fresh ideas for improving public policy throughout the world. PDP articles highlight the scope and significance of critical policy problems and analyse efforts to address them, ending with suggestions for improvement targeted to policy practitioners. PDP articles synthesize existing research on a topic as well as offer the author’s own interpretation of problems and solutions in key contemporary policy areas. Articles must be written with the objective of reaching general readers as well as policy experts. Articles should not dwell at length on data and methodology, but rather highlight the complexity of policy problems and identify possible solutions and implementation challenges.
