For editors and publishers, they show which titles in their field are entering Scopus and how competitive the field is becoming.
This page lists all 223 titles accepted for Scopus coverage in September 2026, grouped by research field and by publisher, with ISSN, publisher and acceptance date for each. Every title links to its own profile on ResearchJournalRank.

What "accepted for Scopus" means (and what it does not)
- It means the title has passed Scopus content evaluation and is being added to the database. Its content will start appearing in Scopus searches and author profiles.
- It does not mean the articles are searchable in Scopus today. Loading content can take several weeks after acceptance.
- It does not mean the journal already has an SJR, a quartile (Q1 to Q4) or a CiteScore. These metrics are calculated from Scopus data over time and usually appear in a later annual release.
- It does not guarantee coverage of every past issue. Scopus decides the coverage start point, so older articles may not be included.
- It is not permanent. Scopus keeps re-evaluating titles, and some are discontinued every month (see the Scopus Discontinued List).

Checklist for authors before you submit
- Verify the exact journal. Match the title and ISSN on the journal website with the list above. Cloned and hijacked journals copy names and ISSNs, so read how to spot a hijacked journal.
- Check its current status. Search the title in the Scopus Status Checker. Acceptance can be followed by discontinuation later.
- Do not expect a quartile yet. New titles have no SJR or Q1 to Q4 rank until SCImago's next release. If your institution requires a quartile, choose an established journal.
- Compare alternatives. Use the Journal Suggester and Compare Journals to weigh a new title against established Q1 journals in your field.
- Run a quick safety check with the Predatory Journal Checker, especially for unfamiliar publishers.
- After publication, confirm your paper appears in Scopus with the free Scopus Article Finder.
For journal editors and publishers
If your journal appears in this list, congratulations: Scopus acceptance is one of the strongest signals of quality for authors. Three practical next steps:
- Tell your authors accurately. Say "accepted for Scopus coverage" with the month, and avoid claiming a quartile or SJR until one is published. Your profile on ResearchJournalRank shows the accepted status and can be shared directly.
- Show it on your website. Add a free ranking badge from Get Listed Badge, and submit any missing journal details.
- Protect your coverage. Steady output, transparent peer review and clean citation behaviour keep a title safe from re-evaluation. See what paper mills are and how to keep them out.
Not on the list yet? Compare your title with recently accepted journals in your field, and browse Scopus indexed journals to see the standard you are measured against.
Frequently asked questions
How many journals did Scopus accept in September 2026?
223 titles were accepted for Scopus coverage in September 2026, according to the official Scopus Source List. 181 of them are from Taylor & Francis imprints.
Are journals accepted in September 2026 already Scopus indexed?
They are approved and being added. It can take several weeks before their articles show up in Scopus searches. Check a specific title with the Scopus Status Checker.
Do newly accepted Scopus journals have a Q1 or Q2 quartile?
